WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 1-3 years of finance, commercial real estate, banking, or investment experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and market analysis.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and prepare loan sizing models, debt offerings, and lender submissions.
  • Collect, review, and interpret financial statements, rent rolls, offering memorandums, commercial leases, and borrower financials to develop comprehensive analyses.
  • Develop narratives, charts, and data summaries from multiple internal and external data sources, ensuring accurate and persuasive presentations.
  • Perform extensive research on economic factors, market trends, sales data, capitalization rates, rental rates, and property expenses to provide context for loan evaluations.
  • Collaborate with producers to finalize lender submissions, develop lender target lists, initiate lender communications, and track interest levels.
  • Assist in constructing property budgets based on market knowledge and historical performance, offering clear explanations and justifications.
  • Maintain and update opportunity pipeline data within Salesforce and DealsHelp, tracking key deal metrics and loan details to ensure accurate record-keeping and forecasting.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with lenders, understanding closing requirements, timelines, and expectations to streamline the loan process.
  • Oversee due diligence activities, including ordering and reviewing appraisals, environmental assessments, property condition reports, title commitments, surveys, UCC filings, tax liens, zoning letters, and insurance compliance to ensure smooth transaction processing.
  • Coordinate loan closings, verify settlement statements for accuracy, ensure proper allocation of loan fees, and submit closing invoices promptly.
  • Ensure that all lender profile information is consistently updated and maintained within the Salesforce database.
  • Gather, organize, and input relevant financial data from schedules of real estate owned (REO), rent rolls, and third-party reports to enhance data accuracy and reporting capabilities.
  • Foster strong relationships both internally and externally, providing exceptional customer service and acting as a reliable resource for clients and colleagues.
  • Participate in industry organizations (e.g., MNCAR, CCIM, NAIOP) to expand industry knowledge, professional network, and market insights.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to broader business objectives.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, commercial real estate, finance, accounting, or economics preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting, investment analysis, asset management, or finance preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate, title, and mortgage industries, including relevant terminology and transaction structures.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to accurately perform financial calculations such as Net Operating Income (NOI), Debt Service Coverage (DSC), Loan-to-Value (LTV), and Loan-to-Cost (LTC) ratios.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening abilities, to effectively interact with clients, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
  • High level of reading comprehension, with the ability to quickly interpret and synthesize complex financial and market data from multiple sources.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, and online research tools.
